July 26: The TESC negotiating team met on Monday, July 26th with management.  We received counter proposals
from management for the following articles:

Article 4 Hiring and Appointments
Article 20 Safety and Health
Article 21 Uniforms, Tools and Equipment
Article 35 Layoff and Recall
Article 38 Union-Management Communication Committee

TESC's union negotiating team is setting a high standard for replying to managements proposals.  The
following are counter proposals we submitted to management on Monday, July 26th:

Article 10-Holidays
Article 12-Sick Leave
Article 16-Work Related Injury and Illness
Article 17-Suspended Operations
Article 19-Leave Without Pay
Article 24-Commute Trip Reduction and Parking
Article 28-Privacy and Off-Duty Conduct
Article 29-Discipline
Article 30-Grievance Procedure
Article 37-Mandatory Subjects
Article 42-Classification
Article 51-Entire Agreement

We are scheduled to meet with Management again on Monday August 2, 2010.
 

Aug. 2 & 5: The Evergreen State College Union negotiation team met with management the week of August 2nd.
We tentatively agreed (TA) on four articles:

Article 9-Training and Employee Development
Article 19-Leave Without Pay
Article 28-Privacy and Off-Duty Conduct
Article 38-Union-Management Communication Committee

On Tuesday we worked on compiling the survey responses we received.  Results attached.
Thank you all for participating!

Thursday morning was spent listening to The Evergreen State College management budget presentation.   The team
had many questions.

The remainder of the session was spent on counter proposals.

Our next negotiation session is set for Friday, August 13th.
